Guildford Landscape

Recently, on a rare, cool and breezy day, I drove to the top of a hill which gives views of the township of Guildford and the surrounding countryside.

I spent some time making this charcoal drawing of the country whilst Katie sniffed about at the foot of the lookout.

Satisfied with my drawing, we proceeded to Guildford where I lunched in the cafe in the old general store – pumpkin and blue cheese tart – Yum, Yum!

  1. A good day for you and Katie! Did you give her a pinch of your dessert? 🙂

    • Hi Lori, After lunch we went on to Ballarat, a large regional city, to visit my cousin and uncle for afternoon tea. When we visit, Katie likes to scour the house looking for their dog, Bundy’s, treats which she proceeds to eat. Katie also takes over Bundy’s basket. She is a terrible guest.

  2. Loved your drawing, the food sounds delicious.

    • Thank you, Susan. Yes, the food at the cafe in Guildford is very good. My favourite in the cooler weather is their soup with warm herby, cheesey damper.
