My First Beanies

I completed these knitted beanies today. They are child sized.

They are the first beanies I have made so I was keen to use a pattern suitable for beginners. I used the pattern for ‘Bev’s cozy knit cap’.

I plan to donate the beanies to a community organisation to use in their projects or to raise funds.

I hope the beanies find good homes.

  1. Super cute beanies! Knitting can be so difficult.

    • Thank you for taking the time to check out this post.

  2. What a fun and rewarding project! I knitted when I was a young girl. I am quite sure someday when I’m not so busy outdoors, that I’ll pick that creative skill up again. These are cute and colorful! I can’t wait to see more of your work, Margaret!

    • Thanks Lori, I hated knitting as a girl and surprised myself when I took up needles again as a mature aged woman.

I enjoyed the challenge of creating these hats and look forward to improving my technique with practice.

  3. Fantastic Margaret!! They look wonderful and I’m sure a child will be thrilled to receive one. I especially like the ‘antenna’ on the bottom one 🙂 is another good place for patterns and inspiration.
I have a BIG smile on my face 🙂

    • Thanks Enivea, I have signed up with Ravelry and look forward to exploring their site at my leisure.
I am glad you found this a cheerful post.
