Charcoal drawing: Along The Spur Track

After the testing hot weather

The bush murmurs quietly in the grey, cool day.

Grey clouds float gently above

In no rush to go anywhere.

The belling of a White Throated Tree Creeper slices the silence.

The bush waits stoically for rain.

  1. Quite soothing… and then, the tree creeper “slices” the silence! Just beautiful Margaret!

    • Yes Lori, The Tree Creeper has a call which is hard to ignore – it is so loud and clear.

We have been fortunate in receiving reasonable rain since this was written so the bush is refreshed.

  2. Beautiful words and sketches, very evocative.
